Here is a picture of my fathers arm after visting the emerency room. It was worse before obviously.. but we didn't take the time to get a picture of the before shot. He got into a fight with a plant hanger and lost :)

07/27/03-All right, I hope I can get back on track with regular updates,its seem every time I plan on updateing something allways comes up,life can be a real pain in the ass sometimes.
I have a few pics of Socks and Yoda playing and a couple of pics of the San Jacinto river which flooded because of all the rain from the hurrican. I lived in that area back in 1994 when it flooded, the flood of 94 was much worse than this years. The house I lived in was 4 foot off the ground and we still got 6 ft of water inside,everything was a total loss and we had to start over again but we had a lot of help from the Red Cross.

07/23/03-I'm still sorting through all the images,so please bear with me. I got a few emails asking for more pics of Yoda and Socks and they will be posted soon as well as some more wound pics.
Meanwhile check out fugly.com, it's hilarious,but it does make me paranoid about who I chat with and who emails me for that matter...:)... check it out..

07/16/03-What a busy couple of weeks it's been..... I finally caught up on the updates and have been on vacation this week, I'm supposed to be resting, you know... fishing,going to the movies and drinking beer but it has'nt worked out that way. First we have the hurricane that side swipes us, then we buy a Chihuahua that we named Yoda and then I damn near poison our cat Socks. This blog entry will be about our cat Socks and our puppy Yoda.

We got Yoda about a week ago, he and Socks hit it off right off the bat, they run around and play fight all the time, it's funnier than hell watching them play (I'll post some pics later), poor Yoda was getting eaten alive by fleas he would pick up from outside so I bought some "Hartz Control" for fleas put it on his back and let him go on his way.

It was'nt more than 30 minutes when I saw Socks going into convulsions , so we rush him to the vet and the vet is asking all kinds of q ?'s, turns out that when I put the flea medication on the dog and they started to play the cat ingested it and had a allergic reation to it. Poor Socks had his stomach pumped full of charcoal and some other stuff but he's ok.

The vet went on to tell me that HARTZ causes a lot of allergic reations in cats and then told me (I think she saw the look of guilt on my face)"Don't worry about it, you are'nt the first and you wont be the last, but please tell 10 of your friends why they should'nt use Hartz products on thier cats" , so there you go friends, unless you want to see your cat looking like Hepburn (rest in peace) on crack lay off the Hartz.

07/10/03-Thanks to " Charlie " for his contribution!We are hot this week! We have yet another set of user submitted wound pics. Here's Charlie's story:

I was into running a lot and never took care and stretched like i should. Well, after years of not doing this the fascia tissue in my legs grew thick. The fascia is the clear whitish tissue that seperates each individual muscle. Well, basically when i would run, or walk, or just sit there doing nothing, the blood could flow into the muscle faster than it was draining out and i got real bad leg cramps like "charlie horses". It sucked having them for days at a time. So, i had a bilateral fasciotomy to cut out the fascia tissue. Now, my legs feel much better.

Thanks for the great set of pics and for sharing your story with us Charlie! and a BIG thanks for your patience with me ( Charlie had to send his pics 3 times and it was my fault, anybody else would have sent me a online kick in the nuts :) ) Thanks again!

Hello! Sorry for the poor quality of these digital webcam shots. I sprained my ankle carrying a bicycle down a dark staircase in my building because the damn elevator was out again- friggin thing is 150 years old or something- anyway I overshot the last step at the bottom and my left ankle buckled under my weight, and that of my bike. Heard two pops!!! and it swelled up immediately. The color changes over the following 4 or 5 days were interesting, I took these shots on the 4th day when the purples started appearing. I got great reaction showing this to people I know.

I swore I broke it, but apparently not, because as soon as the swelling let up a bit I was able to rotate it somewhat without pain. I never went to the hospital. it remained swollen pretty badly for about 4 weeks, gradually going down a bit each day. Elevating it helped, as did icing and wraps (not too tight). It still looks a bit bigger than the original.

Severity 2 ankle sprain.. Playing a simple game of 21 with two other friends.. Cut right, cross-over dribble, up for the shot and down on the other guys foot.. Completely rolled the ankle with all of my 185 lbs.. Ankle popped, thought it broke but the popping came from the tendons and a small bone chip. There was immediate swelling on the side of my ankle, approx. the size of a baseball.. These pictures are 6 days after the accident.

06/24/03-I meant to update earlier but I've been sick,very painful earache and a severe sore throat. I went to the Doctor and I feel much better, but that visit to the Doctor reminded about a time when I had compacted the ear wax against both ear drums, I was walking around half deaf and feeling like I was half drunk, so I said to myself..self it's time to go to the Doc.

So the Doc. walks in and takes a look and then starts chewing my ass out,he says " You compacted the wax against your ear drums, don't you know your not supposed to insert anything into the canal....bla...bla...bla.." he went on the whole time he was picking that stuff out of my ears and ya it hurt like a bitch. He must have been having a bad day I guess ,but he gives me a appointment for the next week.

So now i've got a appointment in a week with Dr.asswipe so I think to myself ... he said not to clean the inside of my ears... so it has been written so let it be done... A little history on my ears, Ive allways had a earwax problem,you could yank a candle out once a week, hell Ive got bees doing flybys trying to get in on the action. so a week goes by and it's time to go see Dr.asswipe.

I'm sitting there waiting on the Doc. trying not to grin and in he walks,greets me, and ask me how I'm doing, he seems to be in a much better mood today...but not for long...he does'nt bother putting that protective sleeve on the ear thingy cause he knows from past, well I'm a very clean person. He puts the ear thingy in, moves it around a bit and then takes it out, I knew it had to be good cause I could feel bits of wax falling out of my ear,I turn to look at the Doc. and he had a complete look of disgust, he was totally grossed out trying to clean the wax off, but he did'nt say a God Damn word, lord knows I was waiting for him to start bitching.... needless to say I changed Doctors and I'm sure he was happy to see me go...

06/18/03-Thanks to " Marc and Nott " for their contribution! Marc and Nott have sent us a fantastic set of pics, this is actually an update from an earlier wound posting but with a twist.... heres their email:

As promised here are some after pics of Nott's wound. However, I couldn't sit back and let her have all of the fun - so I grew one of those nasty little fuckers on my chin to match hers!

We drove around to two hospitals so we could have a doctor who would let us take pics to share with you. so I'll be sending a few different emails with a few different pics attached to each one.

Notice on the one with the q-tip cleaning on the day after, how much bigger the q-tip was than the hole in my face! (no local anastethic.)

That sadistic cunt of a nurse was having a ball putting me through searing pain (notice the fake look of calm on my face (come on, my girlfriend was watching! screaming like a school girl would have been VERY un-macho!)

I hope every one at SMYW digs these and feels my pain!

She got a series of three absessed boils on the back of her leg (the middle one was the worst) the docs wouldn't let us take pics of the subsequent lancing for leagal reasons. but here is a pic of the puss pot on her leg. I'll get you the after shots in a few days when it starts to heal.

I know that boils are painfull as hell, my wife once had one on her upper inner thigh (no pics)(dont even ask guys) and I know it was painfull as hell cause it screwed my nights up for about 3 weeks.... :)
